Mr. Abdirahman Abdillahi Erro, the Somaliland’s house of parliament speaker and Waddani opposition party leader is touring in the capital of the Somali region of Ethipia. Mr. Erro is reported of visiting the regional legislation house where he was welcomed by regional ministers and senior officials of the Somali administration in Jigjiga city.

The chairman of the Ethiopia’s Somali region legislation house, Mohamed Rashid Isaaq expressed their appreciation of the Somaliland’s parliament leader visit to their region and the tour he is undertaking at the institutions in Jigjiga.

“It is truly great honor that we welcome Somaliland’s house of parliament leader to Jigjiga which is the centre of Somali region and specially the legislation house. Mr. chairman you have come to your second home and all legislators are welcoming you with open hands and we would like to strengthen the relationship between Somaliland’s parliament and the Somali -Ethiopian region’s legislation house” Said the leader of Somali-Ethiopia’s house of legislators.

Chairman Abdirahman Erro also spoke of his visit to the Somali region of Ethiopia and its capital. Stressing how grateful he is to visit Jigjiga, Mr. Erro said “I’m very happy really that I’m in Jigjiga and I’m very grateful how we are welcomed to Jigjiga by the president, the ministers and the chairman of the house of the legislation and this is clearly demonstrates how close is our relationship”

“We will continue strengthening our relationship and the way we’re welcomed here will be in our memories forever” Added Mr. Erro.

Mr. Erro also has expressed his appreciation the huge development that is taking place in Jigjiga and he said “We are witnessing the huge development that the regional administration has succeeded and we congratulate for their success”.

Speaking about who they will meet while in Jigjiga and what parts of the city they will visit, Mr. Erro said ” While we are here we will visit all departments offices to further explore the development success they reached and we will meet with the president of the region to discuss ways we can strengthen more the relationship between Somaliland and the Somali regions of Ethiopia”

Reports about Mr. Erro visiting and in fact touring the Somali regions’s capital of Jigjiga say it came after Mr. Erro attended the Ethiopian Nations And Peoples Day celebrated every year and Abdi Omar, the Somali region president discussed having further meeting in Jigjiga.

However the Mr. Erro’s visit to Jigjiga sends mixed messages back to Somaliland where people are closely watching the deteriorating relationship between the ruling Kulmiye party and the Ethiopian government and its Somali regional administration.
