Hargeisa- SL ( Cabays Media) The Waddani party leader and Somaliland’s parliament speaker cautiously welcomes talks with the Somaliland government.

In a press release distributed to Somaliland media on Wednesday and aimed to highlight the Waddani party’s readiness to sit with the government it said it won’t recognise after the end of June of this year after the Guurti house gave an extension term caused controversy, clearly states the political game has shifted in the last 12 hours.

“Principally we welcome the talks and the reconciliation the vice president is endorsing” was said in the press release confirming Waddani party’s willingness to sit with the Somaliland government.

Cautiously sounding about the talks offered by the Somaliland vice president on Wednesday, the Waddani party leader, Abdirahman Erro said in the press release “The way we can inter national talks and setting the agenda we will be consulted with our partners of UCID party and those with national advice worth before-hand”

The Waddani party leader stated his party’s appreciation for the International Community’s role in helping Somaliland’s democratisation process.

“We thank the international community for their constant support for Somaliland’s democratisation and their willingness to safeguard free and fair elections that can be held on 1st of June 2016 set by the National Electoral Commission”, added Mr. Erro.

“Both Waddani leaders and its supporters at home and abroad hope that talks will be successful”  Concluded with the press release indicating Waddani’s new position on the current political deadlock.

The latest press release of Waddani opposition party is bearing consultatory tone and its indicating that political pressure is not just mounting on the government but also Waddani party which failed to draw support for its call for massive protest which it is bearing the brunt of Somaliland’s public dissatisfaction of political clashes.
